The Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) Act was introduced, placing a heavy and confusing burden on private medical and dental practices. A dental practice manager with over 30 years of experience in technology and security, Debi realized that smaller dental clinics and healthcare practices were struggling to stay safe in the ever-changing terrain of cyberspace. Debi wanted to make a safe space for small practices. She wanted to make security affordable. So she launched DK Carr and Associates, LLC.

For almost a decade Debi Carr has led the way in helping dentists obtain and maintain HIPAA HITECH compliance through third-party risk analysis and team security training.
